United States: A new study shows that in the U.S., deaths from heart disease which is mainly caused by obesity nearly tripled over the past 20 years. The increase was even more dramatic for men, where the death rate more than tripled. This thing hereby shows that how obesity is becoming a bigger problem for heart health, especially for men.
The identified study shows that Black adults, middle-aged men, and inhabitants of the Midwest and non-MSA had the greater values of 2020.
As reported by the Medicalxpress, Ischemic heart diseases are conditions that arise when the blood vessels supplying the heart tissue become constricted to allow limited flow of blood and oxygen. This may cause a heart attack.
This research showed that the risk of ischemic heart disease with obesity is rising at an alarming rate with the frequency of obesity, explained the study’s principal investigator Dr. Aleenah Mohsin. At present she works as a postdoctoral research fellow at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
These outcomes were reported at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions in Chicago. Any time that the results are discussed, they are referred to as preliminary results until the full results are published in a scientific journal.

Investigators hereby already examined age-adjusted incidence from 226,267 deaths resulting from obesity-related ischemic heart disease. Data which is obtained from the WONDER database of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was gathered from1999 to 2020.
In absolute terms, there was an upshot of about 180 percent of the number of deaths from heart diseases that can be linked to obesity. Scientists also investigated whether people of particular race, age, gender or place of residence had a higher mortality rate.
For all men the rate which is increased from 2.1/100,000 in the year 1999 to 7.2 in the year 2020, a 243 percent of the rise. For males who aged between 55 to 64, the rate already rose by 165 percent, from 5.5 deaths per 100,000 population in the year 1999 to 14.6 per 100,00 in 2020.
While the mortality rate almost hereby rose from 1.7 deaths per 100,000 women in 1999 to 4.0 in 2020: a 136 precent raise it.
Black adults who again ranked top in the death rate among all races in the year 2020 at 3.93 per 100,000 people.
